Tim Tebow Believes in “Mission Possible”

I am a sucker for Tim Tebow. I don’t care if you love him or hate him. He’s done a lot of really great things with his life. I fondly remember my whole dorm floor gushing about him when I was a freshman K-State and he was a sophomore at Florida. It wasn’t like we were going to see him play in person, but we loved how he walked out his faith despite what anyone else said. It’s something he’s continued to do through his professional football and baseball careers, and now, beyond.

One of those ways his still walking out his faith and impacting lives is in writing books, like Mission Possible. This is his fourth book for adults (third that I’ve read), and he’s always open, honest, and inspiring.

Mission Possible focuses on helping people figure out how to make their own impact on the world. It talks through different ways to see your purpose without the pressures of capital P Purpose ideas. It’s definitely more of a practical, every day view and I think that’s important since it can be such a stressful black hole of thought that often leads to analysis paralysis.

Tebow’s writing style is simple and clear, which I appreciate. He does use his fair share of Christianese, but it feels like less than other books in the genre. He definitely preaches from time to time, but he also backs it up with stories of success and failure. He shares about his relationship with Demi, families he’s met through his foundation, and disappointments from the sports world.

Mission Possible is a quick, easy read that makes you think a bit about what you can do to better the world around you. I don’t think that’s a bad thing no matter how you slice it.
