It’s Christmas in July, y’all!

Remember that hilarious Christmas romp A Merry Little Meet Cute [Buy Bookshop Amazon] that I loved so much last holiday season? Welp, not only will we get to return to the dirty holiday movie shenanigans this fall with A Holly Jolly Ever After, [Buy Bookshop Amazon] but we get a little peek into a couple characters’ lives during the summer.

Snow Place Like LA [Buy Amazon] is a novella from what I’m dubbing ‘Uncle Ray Ray’s universe’. This little story is from the perspective of Luca, the costume designer. Luca and Ray Ray’s son, Angel, hooked up in Christmas Notch during the movie filming, but now they have to navigate whatever it was/is in the real world. Except, there’s a lack of communication and things go sideways, fast.

This novella packs a couple steamy scenes into a short amount of pages, as well as a lot of heart. But, there’s not much else I can say without spoilers.

Overall, I enjoyed this one. It wasn’t quite as funny as A Merry Little Meet Cute, but there are still plenty of great lines in there. Sassy Luca is delightful.
